On a humid and foggy morning, nine walkers assembeld at Circular Quay to catch the ferry to Rose Bay and commence their walk to Bondi. With the Queen Mary 2 dwarfing their small ferry, the walkers pondered that their small craft though much less glamorous might be a healthier way of travelling.

A floating bar sighted shortly thereafter provided an interesting distraction

Our exercise started with a short walk along Rose Bay beach but as we progressed the morning fog started to burn off

We walked along boardwalks at the foreshores of Vaucluse before arriving at Neilsen Park at Sharks Bay for morning tea.  This was supervised by a watchful Kookaburra very close by, who was left disappointed.  Proceeding through the leafy, affluent suburbs of Vaucluse, we admired the "modest" and interesting  residences and different architectural styles before crossing the bridge at Parsley Bay and descending to the waterfront at Watsons Bay.

Refreshed, we climbed up to the Gap to take pictures

We stopped for lunch at Dudley Page Park which was also the site of a reservoir, before resuming our walk.

After lunch it was a short downhill walk to Bondi and coffee only to find that the promised coffee shop no longer existed. Fortunately a coffee shop next door came to the rescue of the leader otherwise the walk could have had a nasty ending!
