The tide being low we walked on the rocks before Forty Baskets and Reef beaches

and a fresh breeze blew as we climbed to Dobroyd Head

Each group lunched in Clontarf Reserve, where take-away coffee was available at the kiosk.
Keen photographers noticed many flowers along the way. The wet weather seems to have convinced the flowers to have another surge in Autumn

The walk officially ended in Avona Crescent where some had parked their cars. Others walked from Ellery Punt Reserve to find a bus stop on the Spit-Manly Road.
It was agreed that Ros, Lyn and Bert from the Sub-Walks Committee could not have done a better job of matching the iconic Sydney walk with a perfect day in early autumn.
