Seventeen walkers set forth from Staples Lookout. A brief walk along busy Woy Woy Road was soon safely over and the walk continued on firetrails and bush tracks in Brisbane Water National Park. Care was taken at all times on the sometimes stoney surface, with any necessary ups and downs, with clambering over gates etc and we all returned to cars further along the road.
Morning tea was enjoyed on a rock platform with extensive views...........

.......but l think most of us were surprised to find ourselves at our lunch spot. We had been walking up, and up and, while in the mood, kept going up. There we were, nearly at the top of Mt Wondabyne! On and up we went.
How wonderful to feel on top of the world with friends surrounded by extensive blue sky above, green trees below, distant ocean views, colourful butterflies flitting around you and the feeling of accomplishment within!
Hands up-we've made it to the top of Mt Wondabyne
