Setting Off from Roseville Bridge to Seaforth Oval in the rain
We soon came to a beautiful waterfall not evident on the recce but flowing fast today. Morning tea was at Flat Rock Beach & then we followed the gradually undulating track through beautiful bush behind the historic Explosive Magazine Complex to Bates Creek & a sandstone arch crossing an unnamed creek which was called the Natural Bridge.

From here it was a challenging climb to the large rocky outcrop called the Bluff. We had lunch here with great views overlooking Middle Harbour towards the city. The second fleeting shower hit us here with strong winds so we had to make a quick dash to shelter under some trees to finish our lunch.
There were a few carved staircases and many more waiting to be carved . Crowea Exalta

Lunch at The Bluff overlooking Bantry Bay Ready to leave the Bluff
With the rain gone we headed down hill on the Bantry Bay track towards a picnic area & small wharf. On this side there are pretty views of the Bay which you don't get on the other side. After a rest at the picnic area, it was just a short climb on the Timber Getters Track to Seaforth Oval. Because the council had put a 4-hour limit on parking at the oval we still had to cross Wakehurst Parkway at the lights to return to our cars. After the walk everyone joined us at the Forestville shops for a relaxing coffee before driving home. I think everyone would agree it was a challenging but rewarding walk! Thank you to all the walkers for coming along & for a great day.
