Lady Robinsons Beach is the stretch of beach between the mouth of the Cooks River and the mouth of Georges River on the western shore of Botany Bay.

It's probably fair to say that 'Enjoy our local environment' was not a message the local councils were promoting.

Houses along The beach side of The Grand Parade were a varied lot. A lot of them dated from the late 1960s-early 70s; many seemed to reflect their owner's interests.

The last numbered sign that we saw  announcing 'Lady Robinsons Beach' was number 058.

Lady Robinson's husband was Governor of NSW from 1872 to 1879.
Before then he served as Governor of Ceylon and of Hong Kong. After his NSW term he was Governor of Fiji, New Zealand and the Cape Colony (twice).
His first given name was Hercules.

Meanwhile, in Sydney, a corella breaks no prohibitions whilst exploring a wind socket on sign number 027.

A high-light of the walk were the market gardens growing alongside Muddy Creek, a tributary of the relocated Cooks River.
