The sky cleared just as eighteen walkers arrived at Morgan Rd Belrose, to start their walk down to Narrabeen Lake. The walk commenced by an
ascending track over heath land where some wild flowers were in evidence and then made an arc around an airstrip for model aircraft before descending to a creek where we stopped for morning tea on the rocks. Refreshed, we set off down the creek for a short distance before climbing up to the Slippery Dip track fire trail which we followed for more than a kilometre. We then left the fire trail and headed down a bush track to reach Deep Creek. Walking down beside the creek with its attractive vegetation and rock formations glistening in the sun and later shading palms, after approximately three kilometres, we arrived at Deep Creek Reserve where we joined the combined walking/cycling track that encircles Narrabeen Lake. A further ten minutes
took us to our well presented lunch spot at Middle Creek Reserve.
Continuing our walk in an anti- clockwise direction round the lake through South Creek Reserve, we proceeded to Jamieson Park. Some excitement was provided by a red bellied black snake crossing the path of some of our walkers and a young, less than shy echidna whose main interest lay in fforaging for food. A variety of well-fed ducks and geese were also in evidence on this section of the track. An attractive coffee spot at the H2O Café by
the lake rounded of a most enjoyable day before a short walk back to our cars at Wimbledon Avenue. Walkers were Jill, Elaine E, Celia, Nick, Sue S, Kas, Sue B, Rhondda, Anne G, Ros G, Christine C, Helen A, Pragati, Clive, Jogn G, John B plus leaders Kurt and Bert

There was some discussion amongst the photographers present which aspect was better for light. However, we now have more walkers photographed.
The infrastructure on the walk around the lakes is top-class. Three councils: Manly, Warringah and Pittwater have provided a wonderful facility.
