The morning’s heavy rainfall obviously kept many of the Regulars preferring to curl up in bed which left leaders Margaret & Claude sitting alone on Turramurra station. They were cheered at Circular Quay wharf with the sight of four hardy ladies up for the challenge. This lovely walk commenced with a ferry ride from Taronga Zoo Wharf where we followed the path to the historic site of Camp Curlew, the 1890’s Artist’s camp and on to Little Sirius Cove, Mosman where the flagship of the First Fleet was careened in 1789 but wrecked just 6 months’ later. Continuing on via the harbour foreshore there was great merriment in colliding with the Plus Walkers at Cremorne Point, heading in the opposite direction. After some “real coffee” at Wharfy’s Café we followed some paths and steps whilst admiring the harbour views and the following points of interest en route:
Elephants Ear: The Rex & Ruby Graham Garden at Cremorne Point, Sophies Lookout, Robertsons Point Lookout & Lighthouse, Kurraba Point, Neutral Bay, Anderson Park for lunch, Milson Park, Ensemble Theatre, Loreto College Kirribilli, Admiralty & Kirribilli Houses and Lady Gowrie Lookout, Kirribilli. Coffee at Fitzroy Food Co Cafe at Kirribilli.

Lovely harbour views en route. Curlew Camp was an Artist's Retreat in Little Sirius Cove
By 1891 it attracted the creme de la creme of the Australian Art Scene.
The groups came together at Sirius Cove - not all waited for the photo shoot!
Don't let a morning storm put us off our Friday outing! A Currawong on watch....
