The sun was shining when 14 walkers set off from San Jose Ave to walk around the Empire Pass. This path was built in the 1900s and opened on Empire Day 1913. We had morning tea at Echo Bluff at a beautiful rocky outcrop. Next we walked to Fairy Falls and down to Dante’s Glen. We followed the creek to the intersection with the Round Track, where we had lunch. After lunch we walked through rainforest gullies with three creek crossings. There were many trees which had fallen over the track. Someone needs to come through with a chainsaw. After viewing Frederica Falls we followed the track to Hughes Ave and Fairview Road back to the cars. We had coffee at the cafe gallery at Lawson.
