Seventeen walkers assembled at the locked gate at the start of the Coba Ridge Fire Trail in Fiddletown on a cool, overcast morning. This walk was the first as a new member for Barbara C, as well as Ingrid's first outing as a visitor.
The walk proceeded 4kms along the level, mostly sandy, fire trail to the fork at which the Neverfail Fire Trail branched off.

The last kilometre along the Neverfail Trail descended gently to its termination at Collingridge Point. Here, a large outcrop of rock provided beautiful views over the lower reaches of Berowra Creek and the surrounding ridges & bays with the Hawkesbury in the middle distance, making a tranquil and rewarding place for lunch.

The return journey along the fire trails provided nothing new, but enabled plenty of opportunity for chatting. The eastern side of the main track was bordered by some nice wildflowers, however wildlife kept itself well-hidden, with the exception of some cheeky Kookaburras, who welcomed us to the morning tea spot, and a couple of Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoos, who did likewise on our return to the trackhead. The Galston Club proved a quiet haven to rest up and chat some more over coffee & other refreshments.
