2019 09 13 Reg DonWo wildflower varietyFollowing the AGM, 25 walkers set out for the Long Track at Duffy’s Forest. Fortunately, the early threatening showers did not eventuate, and the temperature was very pleasant.

We made a slight variation to the planned walk, to take us through an area known for waratahs, and we were not disappointed. In fact, the wildflowers all along the route were among the best seen on an HVB walk. Vast areas of eriostemon, boronia, yellow pea flowers etc.

Morning tea was at a rock platform with spectacular views over Cowan Creek. We then proceeded to the lookout at the end of the track (another spectacular view), before returning to the morning tea spot for lunch.

Coffee was at the usual spot at Terrey Hills, where we met some of the EZY walkers lingering.
