Twenty two walkers met at Govetts Leap lookout car park for the Pulpit Rock 8kms return classic cliff top track on a warm Blue Mountains day. We passed many lookouts each giving a unique perspective of the Grose Valley’s dramatic cliff line and waterfalls.
BRIEFING at Govetts Leap
DESCENT from Govetts Leap and MORNING TEA which was a small detour from the Pulpit Rock track along Popes Glen to pretty Boyds Beach.
WATERFALLS......the Horseshoe Falls are sourced by Popes Glen Creek and the Bridal Veil Falls are sourced by the Braeside Creek.

PULPIT ROCK offers three levels of lookouts each one more exposed than the last with views stretching to Mt Banks and Mt Hay in the east and Evans Lookout and Govetts Leap in the south. LUNCH......walkers sought shade at the side of the steps to the Pulpit Rock car park.
The RETURN journey......the cloud cover was very welcome for our return journey from Pulpit Rock.
