Morning tea was partaken in the shade at Circular Quay. Yes, we started with morning tea as the train from Turramurra was seriously delayed and we had to wait for the next ferry one hour later. Would this eat-before-walk be a first for HVB?
Once aboard the ferry we had a pleasant ride to Birchgrove for our walk which took us past interesting homes, both old and new, across parklands (one being a lunch spot), through historical sites such as Ballast Point and all with great views of harbour waters from different perspectives. The photos below will give you an idea of our scenic walk.

With perfect timing we arrived at Balmain East as the ferry pulled in to take us back to Circular Quay for coffee or cooling drinks before our trips home, hopefully at a faster rate.
