It was a pleasant walk through ridge top woodland with an abundant variety of wildflowers and only a few boggy patches of track.

We enjoyed a morning tea stop on rocks in the bush and lunch was outside Kalkari centre which was closed.
At lunch we enjoyed the antics of an immature butcher bird.
Four walkers decided to take advantage of the opportunity to return by car. while the rest enjoyed retracing our steps.
