Ready for anything
21 Walkers gathered at Thomson Park, Balmain, for the walk. The forecast was for rain in the afternoon. I apologised for Jill not being present and thanked Dawn for taking her place.
We walked along Darling Street, admiring many of the sandstone buildings, had morning tea at Mort Bay Park then walked to Birchgrove, where a small notice board informed us that Big Nose Point had been renamed by the local aborigines as Yurulbin Point. We then walked to Ballast Point Park, which was lovely by the water, for lunch.

After lunch, we walked by the water where we could, around to Balmain East Wharf, where some caught a ferry to Circular Quay and others a ferry to Barangaroo. From the wharf we could see the rain falling over the city so we were pleased we had finished the walk and missed the rain.
