We had a beautiful sunny day for our 15 regular walkers! We set off about 9.10am and after crossing the Weir we did some street walking on the western side of the river, until we were able to get down to the river track. We followed the track to Fairyland where we stopped in the open area by the river for morning tea.
We continued on through Magdala Park to Buffalo Park where we enjoyed our lunch on the picnic tables.
We at first returned by the same route, then went under Epping Rd and on to the eastern side of the river. We proceeded through Mowbray Park & alongside Chatswood Golf Course back to Fullers bridge where we enjoyed our very well-deserved coffees and lively chat!
The walk was indeed varied with street walking, bushland tracks, boardwalks through mangroves, parks and wetlands! The group was very cohesive and so a pleasure to lead and hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves! A big thank you also to Bert Murray who stepped in at the last moment to help co-lead as Wendy was unwell!
A change from flowers-some artistic graffiti instead
