We enjoyed a social chat on the nearly 2hour train trip to alight onto the short platform at Booragul Station. The walk follows the shoreline of Lake Macquarie to Toronto passing Marmong Point, Awaba Bay and Bolton Point.

We had a brief sprinkle of rain as we gathered for the briefing by the shoreline
We followed the Foreshore Trail through parklands to Morning tea at Marmong Point and then followed shoreline reserves to enter Lake Macquarie State conservation Area, passing by cultural sites of the Awabakal people, "Awaba" being the indigenous name for Lake Macquarie, and it translates to "people of the calm surface".

A scramble by some, to miss the lapping water
We completed the Foreshore Walk by entering Bolton Point from the Hepplewhites Trail, then street walked the Ridgeway, by Middlepoint Rd, to Bolton Point Park for lunch where we met a couple of friends of Bert.

We completed the last 2km of foreshore walk to catch a bus at Fennel Bay Bridge

to alight to take the Greenway pathway past historic Toronto Railway Station
and on to The Boulevarde for coffee before catching the bus to Fassifern Station for our train home.

We were joined on some the train trips and Afternoon Tea by Barbara, celebrating a special birthday, and David R, Claude P, Kaz, Cleona and Keith
