First of all, I would like to thank Bert for co -leading with me on this beautiful sunny walk. We had 8 walkers in total.
We set of from Wharf 5A circular quay on a river cat to Chiswick along the Parramatta River.
A little bit of street walking before we got onto the path along the water, passing the Nestle site at Abbotsford. They have restored the old house which looks in very good shape as you can see from the photo. We continued to Battersea Park where we had morning tea under a tall tree.

After morning tea, we did a little more street walking until we got onto the path around Hen and Chicken Bay past Bardwell Park Golf Course, where we had to walk around the golf course to another waterfront path.

We had lunch at a park under a Gazebo nearing Cabarita. There was plenty of room and Christine gave us a black jellybean as usual. After lunch we had a short walk to a café recommended by Tim at Cabarita. Lunch Spot - Gazebo
Dorian put up the umbrella, so we all sat under the shade enjoying our coffee and cold drinks. They had the biggest lamingtons and delicious Portuguese tarts.
After a good rest we headed to the Cabarita Wharf for our river cat ride back to circular quay. Some got off at Barangaroo to catch the metro and others went to Circular Quay. One walker decided to go the other way to Meadowbank to catch the train home.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the good weather and wonderful scenery. A good day had by all. Thank you Clive for suggesting this substitute walk and sending me the maps.
