Nine intrepid walkers arrived at Castle Hill ready to check out the history of the Castle Hill settlement.
We began at the steam tram station at Castle Hill, established 1902, initially from Parramatta to Baulkham Hills, then later extended 1910  to Rogans Hill. It progressed to a railway line in 1919 but was found to be uneconomic and closed in 1932.

Morning tea at Heritage Park again illustrated the history of farming, convicts and uprisings, with unfortunate conclusions.

Lunch at a small park along the creek; coffee at Castle Towers.
Very warm autumn day but comfortable pace made the walk very pleasant. [Possibly a little long for an eazy walk - estimates were around 8 kms.]
