After several rainy days we were blessed with blue sky and sunshine for our walk in Coups Creek, Normanhurst.

All signed on and ready to go

Nineteen walkers met in Nanowie Avenue, Normanhurst for a briefing by the leaders. The walk followed the northern side of Coups creek via a system of interweaving tracks through the lovely tall trees of Fox Valley, an area bordered and owned by the SAN Hospital.

We emerged mid-way into the walk at Myrtle Street, Normanhurst for an early coffee at the Grind coffee shop.

An alternative track on the return took us down to the river which required some unexpected creek crossings.  Fortunately the river was not high and with Claude’s assistance everyone coped well with lots of laughs.  Everyone agreed it was indeed eventful but a most enjoyable day.
