On a perfect blue-sky sunny day, 15 walkers met at Crosslands Reserve Hornsby Heights for a walk through 2 sections of the Benowie Trail (which forms part of the Great North Walk).
Leader Margaret gave a short talk on the early days of the Reserve before we proceeded to the first section on the right. This pleasant path and boardwalk leads to a small rather obscure look-out overlooking Berowra creek. Leader Claude offered to proceed a little further on a slightly rougher path to enjoy a better view. Being hardy EZY walkers , ALL took this option without incident.

Then took the trail to the left of the reserve.
This side becomes quite rocky in sections then levels out to a flat pathway between a beautiful garden of ferns and tall trees. With the sun shining through it looked like a mini wonderland - so beautiful!
