We had a short chat before proceeding to The Goat Paddock for morning tea. Some of us walked down to Woolwich Dock which, when opened in 1901, was the largest dock in Australia.

We moved on to the Kelly’s Bush Track (the scene of a famous debate about land use, now disappearing in the mists of history) and up to Weil Park. On the way we passed Woodstock, now a beautifully restored pair of residences originally built in 1841, and admired paintings on the inside of the perimeter wall.

We rejoined Woolwich Rd and passed some really beautiful old buildings along the way, including All Saints Anglican Church. And noticed some colorful fungi. A feature was the use of footpath plaques to describe some of the historical properties.

We had lunch in the Park at the end of Alexandra St then walked along Church St to our coffee destination at Cafe Hunters Hill.
A most enjoyable day, and no rain!!
