In spite of the wet weather forecast, nine walkers gathered at Bondi Junction to catch the bus to Tamarama. Our walk commenced at Marks Park. Excellent views from the lookout, but we don’t see any whales.

We walked along the coast in cold and windy conditions. Morning tea was at Tamarama Beach. Robyn had a quiz about people buried at Waverley Cemetery with packets of smarties for prizes.

We then walked to Brontë and walked up the gully to the waterfall. The gully is very overgrown with weeds, but work is being done to plant native species.

We walked along the old tram road to reach Waverley Cemetery. We walked across the cemetery and looked at nine sites where famous people were buried. Robyn read part of a poem at Henry Kendall’s grave.

Who is in there ?
Nick and Rex decided to accept a lift in a vehicle and were separated from the group for a while. They caught up with us at Clovelly, where we had lunch. After coffee at the cafe we caught the bus back to Central.
