The 14 walkers met at the intersection of Bulara Street and Malawa Road for a 9.00am start. The day was cold at first, but with clear skies and no wind. It warmed up as the day progressed.

The Beginning
The first section was through pleasant bushland on a bush track to the intersection of the Perimeter Trail and the Long Track. The rest of the walk was on fire trails, with the occasional steep pinch to keep us honest.

On the track
The Long Track follows a ridge north, and after 3+ kms we had morning tea on a large rock shelf with views over Cowan Creek. Then onwards for another 1+ kms to the end of the Long Track at Peach Trees Lookout. Here the views of the Cowan Creek and the Hawkesbury River in the distance are extensive. Being too early for lunch, we returned to the morning tea spot for same.

Lunchers
The fire trail was followed back to the cars. A very pleasant walk on a perfect day for this activity. Coffee was in the park opposite Terrey Hills shops. We shared the trail with a few groups of cyclists, a couple of walkers and some horse droppings (no horses).
