
Most of the walkers met leader Robyn at Central station to travel to Summer Hill to join Helen A and leader Anne G
In cool Spring sunshine we walked along the street to cross Parramatta Rd and join the Greenway beside the Hawthorn Canal
Along the canal there is a mural on the walls of the railway underpass depicting Indigenous heritage and art work in tiles from local schools.

We crossed Marion Street to walk through Haberfield parkland for our morning tea stop. We continued to the footbridge to Leichhardt Park.
The foreshore of Iron Cove has boards depicting the Italian fishing heritage of the bay

We enjoyed the foreshore path through Leichhardt park and Callan Park to the point, admiring the jacarandahs in full bloom.

We returned to near the Rowing Club for lunch

Our return through Callan Park passed a display of flannel flowers and an interesting sign on the fence of the Glovers community garden.

After refreshments at Le Montage we walked up the hill to James St and crossed the City West Link Rd to the Leichhardt North Light Rail station.
