Aware of the very wet conditions of the past few weeks, the leaders offered two options to members to allow them to at least socialise rather than cancel the intended walk. These options were:

Option 1 - No rain:
Meet at Karuah Park at 9am. Go for a street walk in Turramurra and end with a coffee.

Option 2 - It's raining:
Meet at Karuah Park at 9am. Go for a movie 'The Duke', a 10am showing at Hornsby Event Cinemas. (Car shuffling from Karuah Park). Coffee or lunch at the Food Court Hornsby Westfields.

Well, it did rain and four walkers turned up at Karuah Park at about 9.00 am. One was only prepared to go to the cinema, whilst the other three were keen to do the street walk. So, the three indomitable walkers set off up Eastern Road to Golden Jubilee Park in light rain conditions. At the park, the rain had paused to allow for morning tea and some photo shoots overlooking Ku-ring-gai Chase NP.

                            Wet!                                                                                                         Wet!                                                                                                          Wet!

We then continued past the Jubilee Mountain Bike Park along the fire trail, coming out at Clissold Road. Weaving through the back streets to arrive at the Turramurra Bakery for a coffee/tea. Unfortunately, there were no tables available so we continued on to Karuah Park where all happily parted for home.

All in all, there was only sporadic light rain, just enough to keep everyone cool. The easy walk was enjoyed even more with interesting discussions on many world matters (none solved). It was also leech free to boot!
