Though some suburbs had light rain in the morning we were pleased that this disappeared for the entire time of our circuit walk! Thus our walk was cloudy & pleasant, though gradually becoming hotter!
9 members & 1 visitor set out from the end of Day Rd, Cheltenham.
First we passed Ahimsa, former home of Marie Byles, now a National Trust property.
Our first crossing of Byles Creek, though a little tricky, was made much easier with Claude standing solidly on a rock helping all the ladies & John to make it safely across!
We had our morning tea at a convenient, shady table near the tennis courts at Pennant Hills Park sports complex.
We followed the Pennant Hills fire trail and descended to Devlins Creek where we made 3 creek crossings. Though some had water covering over, we all managed well, despite ending up with wet boots!
We didn’t delay too long as a few leeches (only about 3) decided to hitch a ride!
We stopped at Whale Rock for photo opportunities and at the end of the walk sat at a table where John ate half his lunch!

As it was early 9 of us headed to Long Shot Café at Beecroft for a coffee and a good social chat!
