What a beautiful day it was for a walk! Because of train delays and another excellent reason five of us set off and eight of us finished the walk. After catching trains, a ferry and a bus we began with morning tea by the sea at Freshwater beach and then strolling along the promenade towards Manly chatting and enjoying the sight of others enjoying themselves.

We continued on round to Shelley Beach where we had lunch. For our entertainment, two men were preparing a site for a wedding, then relocating it and starting again. We could not wait for the finished structure and hoped the bridal party and the guests would not be affected by cool wind.

Returning to Manly centre, we headed for an excellent coffee shop by the wharf and indulged in good coffee or chocolate to finish a very pleasant day.

Walkers: Norma, Elizabeth, Kath, Pat U, Noel, Ray with Mary and Lyn. No photos this week.
