Twelve enthusiastic walkers set out to do the Many Dam Circuit last Friday 28th August on a glorious fine day!

Leaders Christine C and Wendy were followed by Margaret P, Claude, Margaret B, Elaine E, a visitor, Lawrie, Robyn, Rex, Pam S and Lea.
Many & varied, beautiful wildflowers, pretty waterfall & scenic lunch spot on rocks beside the water complete with friendly swan!
Small incident with one walker tripping & falling face first in the mud – but no serious damage (whoops – should I have done an incident report?) - just a good coating of mud to add interest to her white top!
A track detour resulted in an unexpected, uphill climb (we had hoped that part of the track would have been open after our reccie!) A boost to some of our heart rates but fortunately it was not too long before we were back on the main track again!
With the detour, a little longer than the program stated – probably about 9kms but a most enjoyable walk, followed by a perfect coffee spot – “Crispy’s” with their own homemade cakes & pies!
