On a picture perfect day on the Curra Moors ...... 'Classic Backdrop'

'We had walked nearly 2km'. We stopped in more open country. The sun was above the trees, so the outer layer of clothing started to come off.

The morning tea break at Eagle Rock was a long one. Four walkers took the opportunity to explore the route the Curra Brook takes on its final moments to the sea. Lyndy, Chris B and Barrie deep in discussion.
Barrie, our good shepherd, watches over Chris, and then escorts Lyndy and Chris back over the brook.

The view from Garie Beach north headland: just as much as classic as the view of Eagle Rock? This was our lunch spot. (Photo taken on the recce.)
'Houston. We have a problem.' Since the last time the club visited the Garie Beach view spot, NP has worked on the steps down to the beach. Perhaps as part of that process a decision was made to let the scrub grow back over the rocks on the top of the headland.
Now, instead of a relaxed, roomy, safe spot for lunch (see HVB walk on 22 Sep 2006), we have very limited rock space where there is basically only room for seven or eight people and where only one person should stand up at a time. Don Wo took the photo on the right. He was awkwardly positioned and could not keep Chris' shoes out of his picture.
Perhaps someone from our club could contact NP and plead our cause?
Now walking west towards the cars.

and 'too late for flowers' - Pine-leaf Geebung Persooonia pinifolia
On the right: 'Born on the same day'.
Having spent the day exploring Bundeena and its surrounds, Helen Wo joined the walkers for coffee at the Audley Pier 'Dance Hall'. As we were finishing the Plus walkers arrived, so 'hellos' all round. Many Happy Returns toAnne G!
For the record: Walking on the day were leaders Don Wo and Helen A followed by Sue K and Andy, Chris B, Lyndy and Barrie. Ros G was the third walker on the recce.
All photos by Don Wo, except for a couple from Helen A.
