Twenty-seven walkers arrived at Hornsby Station on a crisp, sunny morning and enjoyed a scenic train ride north to Point Clare Station. From there we made a steep ascent to the Koolewong Ridge. As we followed bush tracks and undulating fire trails, we had some good views over Brisbane Water.

Before lunch at a rocky lookout over the water, we made a short detour, kindly led by Clive, to a rock formation known as the Egyptoid. to view some very well copied hieroglyphics!

The final descent for the day took us down a steep bush track, which involved some careful footing, and over the bridge to Woy Woy for coffee before catching the train home. Thank you to whoever organised the beautiful weather and to everyone who attended for your excellent company.
