Twenty four walkers enjoyed a pleasant stroll around the upper reaches of the Lane Cove River valley. Three downs and three ups were promised for this walk; at the end all could feel they were achieved. The variety of bushland viewed was interesting. The eight river crossings were easily handled, virtually no running water!
Morning tea was on rock shelves near Pennant Hills Park, while lunch was at the lookout point on the well constructed STEP track at South Turramurra. The last hill back to the cars at Wahroonga was assessed as the toughest. Some wildlife seen, while at lunch a large flock of white cockatoos passed by. While co-leader Vreni was not able to come, valuable assistance was provided by Chris B and Elaine.
