In keeping with current times, the weather could have gone either way, but thankfully, the early showers prediction was correct, and 23 walkers arrived for the only walk of the day
Early birds were fortunate enough to see a large kangaroo calmly cross the road about a hundred metres away
The early section took us through an area where there are usually a lot of waratahs, and luckily there still some in flower. Then across the Perimeter Track to the LongTrack. The main track had been improved somewhat, so the muddy bits were quite manageable.
Due to the shortage of suitable stopping spots, morning tea and lunch were both at a large rocky outcrop overlooking Cowan Creek, with a there and back to the main view spot at Peach Trees lookout
The wildflowers were not as colourful as on previous walks, but the Perimeter Track towards the end, provided many waratahs of spectacular heights, although past their best.
The weather had provided a mix of cloud, sun, and threatened showers, and coffee was enjoyed at Terrey Hills
The walkers were Helen A., Bronwyn, Barbara C., Susan C., Michael and Sue, Ros, Mary, Christine G., Chris M., Bill M., Bert, Margaret P., Wendy P., Pragati, Barbara R., David R., John S., Kurt, Sue S.,Don Wo.
