The day arrived for our walk from Greenwich Point to Milsons Point. We were up bright and early and 18 walkers met at Circular Quay to catch the 8.15am ferry to Greenwich.
There we met up with 2 more walkers, Margaret & Howard, and consoled each other about the drizzling rain and overcast conditions (very similar to the day Wendy & Christine did the recce).
Not our ferry - sigh Greenwich Point
After a short chat we made our way to Vista Street and Holloway Reserve where we began our descent down the many stairs and on towards Berry Island.
Holloway Reserve On the way up to Berry Island
The rain continued to be a nuisance but did not appear to worry our ever positive group and we eventually arrived at Berry Island.
The rain eased so we decided to enjoy morning tea there.
We then continued along to Oyster Cove overlooking beautiful views of the harbour,

a little street walking, and ending up at The Coal Loader, through the tunnel, around Balls Head and back to the Coal Loader, so pretty and with intermittent sunshine.

With encouraging occasional blue skies we continued on to Sawmillers Reserve where we had lunch (unfortunately with a very cool breeze).
After lunch we continued on through McMahons Point, Lavender Bay, ending up at Milsons Point where 11 of us enjoyed our coffee and chat before heading home (in sunshine).
