Amazing! We had 6 walkers for this Plus walk, all blokes, no women. This is very unusual. Men are usually outnumbered. Due the forecast of hot weather we sent out an advisory that we would start at an earlier time. It was a beautiful still morning with some fog as we gathered at Bobbin Head.
Fog in the morning Ready to go
We set off at 8am along the Warrinoo Track which runs beside Cowan Creek for over an hour. It was high tide so we had beautiful water views as we walked.
Views along Cowan Creek Any higher and we would have wet boots
Following the Walk Program instructions, we did not walk up the Sphinx Track but continued along the Warrimoo track a little way then took a rough track steeply up the ridge to join the Sphinx Trail. This was a bit of a scramble. We followed this trail to the Sphinx Memorial where we had morning tea.

From the Sphinx we took the Bobbin Head Trail to the Jacob Track which was a there and back to a lookout looking across to Terrey Hills.

Back on the Bobbin Head Trail we branched off to look at some Aboriginal rock art before continuing along then down the steep steps to Bobbin Head.
