A group of 14 members, including one visitor, enjoyed wandering through Hunters Hill.
Only evidence of bush were the tree roots on the old footpaths, plus lots of mature trees in the neighbourhood.
We admired the mansions, including the stylish French design homes, such evidence of the early French settlers and particularly architecture.
We enjoyed the Jeanneret Walk, one of many historic walks in the suburb. Jeanneret was a wealthy settler who bought up huge areas for property development. He and his brother, along with Joubert have left many notable architecturally beautifully houses.
There is an abundance of information, available from the local council in Alexandra Street.
